1- Reasons for establishing the "Research Laboratory in Economics and Islamic Finance Studies ": The aim of establishing this laboratory is due to the lack of laboratories to settle economic studies at the university, and therefore the specialty of Economics and Islamic Finance calls for the establishment of a laboratory that includes all research teams related to the kind of these studies. So the Economics and Islamic Finance Studies laboratory is a laboratory that undertakes economic and Islamic finance studies and what the researchers and scholars’ efforts reached to in these broad fields, and seeks to make comparisons between modern and Islamic economics, especially since there is a prevailing trend towards Islamic finance in general and Islamic banks in particular within the light of occasional global economic and financial crises. In addition, the laboratory seeks to revive our civilizational heritage, which served as solutions to many crises and problems that societies suffer from, such as investing endowment and zakat funds in a way that serves development in general.
The laboratories work is also based on a basic pillar, which is the concern for the verification of heritage books in general, and the heritage of Qur’anic and modern researches in particular, with an explanation of the scientific and technical methods in that .
Civilizations and Religions Dialogue Laboratory comes at a time when the world has become a small village, as a result of the scientific revolution taking place in various means of communication, to fill an academic scientific gap, by trying to make a research in an academic scientific way in order to provide accurate scientific knowledge about the reality of religions and civilizations dialogue by revealing the rooting aspect of the subject, talking about the historical and cultural reality associated with it, and revealing everything related to the subject in terms of scientific circumstances and problematics, whether related to Islam or orientalism, and the role of the media in the process.
The reasons why the Research Laboratory of Civilizations and Religions Dialogue was established are:The research laboratory in economic and Islamic finance studies aims at the following:
